An overview of Brazil
As the fifth largest country in the world and the largest in Latin America, Brazil needs almost half of the subcontinent by occupying an area of 8.5 Million km². Brazil is a big land mass with some Islands and the Equator is crossing the country in the North.
His neighbours are in the North: French-Guiana, Suriname, Guiana, Venezuela and Colombia.
The borders to the west of Brazil include Bolivia, Peru and Paraguay. In the south there are Uruguay and Argentine.
With his 195 Million Citizens Brazil has nearly 22,5 inhabitants per km², almost the same as the U.S. with 32 inhabitants per km² and not so overpopulated as for example Germany in Europe, which has 229 Inhabitants per km².

Brazil and its Music
The most basic influent music styles in Brazil are Samba and Bossa Nova. In the early 20s of the past century, some samba schools have been created to train to dance samba to a lot of people not only for the Carnival.
For that time, the Samba got some variations but still is the most listen music in Brazil, before the Bossa Nova. The Bossa Nova rythm is very similar to the jazz , that was popular in the United States, in New Orleans and at the time of the glory twenties in New York.

Brazils economy still doing well

Although there have been some economic crisis in the past, Brazils economy was not going down a lot or collapsing. One man who is also responsible for the well doing economic part of the country is President Lula Da Silva.

Maybe the carnival was born here and exported to other countries all over the world, but the most important and fascinating carnival you can find in the world is in Brazil, in Rio de Janeiro.
The country is for almost a week, at day and night, in “festas”, party. The Carnival occurs 48 days before eastern, normally in February. Can you imagine Brazil without football?
Like most latinamerican Countries, Brazil is proud about its football league and the stars they have and had like Ronaldinho, Kaka, Pele, Ronaldo, Socrates, Romario, Rivaldo that are or have been some of the best players in the world.

Cooking in Brazil
The brazilian cooking is similar to the other southamerican countries and relies on various traditions that were influenced from theformer inmigrants that mostly came from europe, and there from Germany, Itlay, Spain and of course Portugal. But also the african inmigrants influenced the cooking in Brazil.
Also it depends where you are, for expample at the beach sides in Brazil you can find a lot of diferent dishes that where made out of fishes and other great food from the sea. If you like, you can also find some beef and pork. Brazil has due to the climate also a lot of fruits on their dishes like pineapple, papaya, mango and passionfruit.
Very rich ingredients of vitamines you cannot find easily in countries of the northern world, just in some expensive supermarkets. Also the avocado hass, that is very popular in the U.S. can be found in this beautiful country.
Due to the european influences peopla also like to eat potatoas and pastas like Gnocchi, Spaghetti, Lasagna and Farfalle, that are originally from Italy. A typical Brazilian meal is Feijoada, that is made of a stew of beans with pork and beef.
Also rice and beans are often used in the brazilian kitchen to make a Bobo de Camarao. Salgadinhos are somtehing like the Mexican tapas, you can make a breakfeast with them or for use with sauces.
The Pastel from brazil are influenced from german inmigrants, and taste very well as milk rice with Noun. Also Empanadas like in Spain are available, they are similar to the mexican Tacos and have cheese, chicken, pork or just vegetables for vegetarians inside.
Like italians love to make Pizza, there exist various forms. Also there is an influence from the asiatic kitchen notable mostly in the bigger cities like Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo. Some japanese and chinese Restaurants offer their typical food with rice and a lot of varieties of chicken, pork and meat.
